Royal Golf Marrakech

One of the oldest golf courses in Marrakech, the Royal Golf of Marrakech has been seducing lovers of the noble sport since 1927. With lush vegetation and more than 15,000 trees of dozens of species, the Marrakech Royal Golf Club is a true myth for golfers of all levels.

Designed in 1923 at the request of the Pasha of Marrakech, Hadj Thami El Glaoui, the Marrakech Royal Golf Club was inaugurated in 1927 by the latter. With a length of 5937 metres, the historic 18-hole course has since been completed in 2007 with the “Ménaré” course, a 9-hole course of 3072 metres.

Located 5 minutes from Marrakech on the road to Ouarzazate, this course is certainly one of the most beautiful in the city. Its 27 holes are planted with cypress, eucalyptus, palm, olive, orange and apricot trees, making golfing a real pleasure. Sir Winston Churchill and Ike Eisenhower loved to enjoy tea in the shade of the fragrant trees of the Royal Golf Course.

An exceptional place that satisfies the desires of beginners and experienced golfers alike. The Marrakech Royal Golf Club has entrusted its 9-hole extension to two great designers, Gery Watine, a local child and golf professional, and Thierry Sprecher, a renowned golf architect, to better satisfy the requirements of its clients.
